FAQ

 Q.

why do i need a planner/coordinator?

So many reasons! This is my full-time career and area of expertise, so you can lean on me in areas of your planning where you need help. You’ll get guidance through your planning process, organized logistics leading up to the big day, and someone to tackle the “extra stuff” that almost always comes up on the day of. I’ll take the stress off your shoulders, letting you be present and enjoy each moment.

 Q.

CAN’T I DO THIS MYSELF OR USE FAMILY/FRIENDS TO COORDINATE?

Maybe! But this is a big task to put on someone’s plate - especially when they have jobs, families, and other responsibilities to focus on during the planning process. And on the event day, they’ll want to enjoy themselves! Your cousin’s main focus won’t be getting the speeches started when they’re having fun catching up with their favorite uncle. Hiring a professional guarantees that every detail will be accounted for and that nothing falls apart.

 Q.

WHEN SHOULD WE BOOK A DAY-OF COORDINATOR?

It’s never too early to book a wedding coordinator! As with all of your vendors, if you find someone you like, it’s best to secure them so they don’t get booked up. In a general sense, most couples book my services anywhere from 6-12 months out from their wedding date.

 Q.

WHERE DO WE START?

First, celebrate! Take some time to soak it in and enjoy being engaged. After discussing your priorities, budget, and a rough draft of your guest list, it’s a great time to hire a wedding coordinator (either full-service planning or day-of coordination). Regardless of how much help you want, even a day-of coordinator is helpful at this stage so they can connect you with a great network of vendors and take some of the guesswork out of your planning.

 Q.

WHAT IS THE COST?

Your rate will be discussed during your initial consultation. Weddings take a lot of time and energy just in the planning stages, and the month leading up to it is the strongest point of it all. There are timelines that need to be created, vendors that need to be contacted, and backup plans made for various elements. On the day of, I’ll be busy assisting your vendors, making sure everything is on-time and according to plan, smiling while handling any unexpected surprises, and problem-solving on the spot. I’ll be coordinating the entire event like an orchestra, taking all the work off of you!

 Q.

Do YOU GET A LOT OF “BRIDEZILLAS”?

Nope! A big part of having my initial consultation with couples is to make sure we’re a good fit. We’ll be working closely together on the biggest day of their lives, so it’s important to determine that first. I love getting to know each couple and playing such an important role on their big day. I take care of all the details so that the couple, their parents, their wedding party, and their guests can ALL enjoy the wedding day together.
